Napkin Fold Card!

We’re almost through the lazy days of Summer.  What says Summer?  Of course! Flamingos! I’ve been having fun creating this card! This is a terrific stamp set by Stephanie Bernard’s The Stamps of Life. If it looks difficult, don’t fear!  It’s much easier to make than it looks!  I found an excellent video that describes the process of making this card as well as the companion video for the envelope (see the links below).  These are the following supplies you will need:
  • 1 – 12″ x 12″ piece of lightweight card stock
  • 1 – 5.5″ square of design paper
  • 2 – 5.25″ squares of design paper (one can be the same as the 5 1/2″ Square and another of an alternating pattern)
  • 1 – 5.75″ of square of design paper
  • 1 – 5.5″ square of card stock (for stamping your sentiment)
For the belly band:
  • 1 – 2″ x 12″ strip of card stock
  • 1 – 1.75 x 12″ strip of design paper
  • 2 large foam adhesive dots or strips
  • A large die cut embellishment for the center of the belly band.
The following tools will be helpful:
  • A large scoring board and bone folder
  • A small tape runner or fast drying glue
There is also a video that explains how to make the envelope for this card due to the special dimensions.  To construct the envelope, you will want to use:
  • 1 – 10″ square of Design Paper
  • an Envelope Punch Board

Happy Easter

Love the Color Burst powders from Ken Oliver Crafts.  For the front of this card, I used Alizarin Crimson, Orange and Lemon yellow for the background on watercolor paper.  The sentiment on the inside of the card was done with the February CTMH stamp of the month which actually has 3 very cute bunnies.

Oh Creative Memories..

Where it all started.. about 20 years ago with a 2 page mini Creative Memories scrapbook party. Over the years I scrapbooked here and there. A couple of years ago I signed up to be an Independent Consultant with Close to My Heart. It’s been interesting to see how scrapbooking as an art form has evolved and just how many products are available for paper crafters that love to stamp and scrapbook. I will share some of my favorite products and there’s so many out there that I’m still getting acquainted with. That little boy is my son who is now all grown up with a wife and house of his own…
